You can help your child study even if you don't speak the language

You can:

1. Watch television on cable or DVD's of movies with a foerign-language track with your child.

2. Listen to radio stations or music in the foreign language.

4. Give your child vocabulary in English that can be written in the foreign language, and then you can check the spelling from the textbooks or other sources.

5. Listen to your child read an assignment aloud or practice an oral presentation. Even if you don't understand it all , you can still help with the stage presence. In addition, it will give you child an opportunity to practice before an audience.

6. Discuss visual projects and poster and give helpful hints

7. Help your child get organized and keep a timetable for due dates
